Mechanicsville Community Wellness Campus
Empowering Healthier communities through thoughtful designs, sustainable practices, and collaboration.
The Premise
The Mechanicsville Food-is-Medicine Wellness Campus represents a rare alignment of need, opportunity, and readiness. The setting for our project is in one of Atlanta’s most historic but underinvested neighborhoods. We have the land, the housing, the community trust, and partnerships to demonstrate how culturally rooted, health-driven food & housing access can measurably improve lives and inform scalable models for urban communities nationwide.
Our program combines a community teaching garden, culturally anchored wellness programming, and short-term transitional housing pathways to reduce barriers to care and improve engagement in preventive health behaviors.
