Who we are

Garden of Oge is an Atlanta-based non-profit organization founded by Ogechi Nwoko MD MBA. Dr. Nwoko is a physician innovator with a passion for working on healthcare’s hardest problems outside of clinical settings. Garden of Oge was founded on the notion that improving urban infrastructure & availability of locally grown healthy foods represent key pillars to improving the health of communities.

What we plan to do

Garden of Oge is reimagining urban land in Atlanta as a source of nourishment, beauty, and community wellbeing. We believe communities deserve more than temporary relief from hunger. They deserve spaces that support food sovereignty, health, learning, and connection.

Our goal is to transform underused land into multi-use green spaces where edible landscapes, ecological stewardship, and community life can grow together. Through gardens, outdoor wellness spaces, and place-based programming, we aim to strengthen neighborhoods while demonstrating what it looks like to invest in land as a tool for healing, resilience, and self-determination.
